چکیده :

Electromagnetic waves encompass a wide range of wavelengths and frequencies, with the visible spectrum representing the portion detectable by the human eye. This spectrum spans wavelengths from approximately 380 nm (violet light) to 700 nm (red light). Cells, as the fundamental structural and functional units of living organisms, play a critical role in health, where their malfunction often leads to disease. The visible spectrum can exert diverse effects on various cellular behaviors, including morphology, adhesion, migration, apoptosis, proliferation, and metabolism. These effects are strongly dependent on factors such as wavelength, light intensity, exposure duration, and cell type. In recent years, extensive studies have investigated these interactions, aiming to enhance understanding of the underlying mechanisms. A deeper insight into these processes could facilitate the development of novel therapeutic approaches in medicine and improve existing biomedical techniques. This review article critically examines and synthesizes the latest research and findings from 2019 to 2023, highlighting the key insights and practical implications of visible-spectrum light effects on cellular behaviors.
